Dune Stewardship Day is a hands on, partner-supported event that helps people experience dune stewardship in action. This free event<\/strong> brings together residents, visitors, educators, and community partners for short activities, guided walks, and simple demonstrations that highlight how dunes work and how everyday choices affect dune health.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Visitors can explore activity stations, talk with habitat specialists, learn about native plants, and see examples of dune friendly practices on the ground. Short, guided walks offer a closer look at dune features, vegetation, and areas where small changes in behavior can make a meaningful difference.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Dune Stewardship Day event is designed to be welcoming, informal, and easy to navigate. Participants can move at their own pace, choose activities that interest them, and leave with one or two simple actions they can take to help protect Minnesota Point\u2019s dunes.<\/p>\n

Sarah will be leading a walk at 3:30pm on Sand Dune Insects: Biology, Ecology, and Why Invasive Plants Matter<\/strong> (~20 min), and a microtalk at 4:25 p.m. \u2014 Nesting and Overwintering Habitat for Pollinators and Other Insects<\/strong> (~20 min).<\/p>\n
