In this talk, we’ll consider how thoughtful plant selection, habitat design, and ongoing management can create spaces on your farm that nourish wildlife and people alike. Sarah will talk us through some of the best edible plants available for conservation plantings and how to incorporate them into our diets in creative ways. She’ll also cover important edible weeds that we can harvest for our own use during the process of caring for our habitat. Together, we’ll adjust our thinking on pollinator habitat from something we simply set aside for nature, to an integrated part of a healthy, productive, and resilient food system for all.

BIO: Sarah Foltz Jordan is a conservation biologist and foraging educator based in Duluth, MN.
